Our company, Makaʻiwa Incorporated, creates engaging animated and audio content for all ages. Through the Makaʻiwa Keiki project, we wish to foster global interest in Hawaiian Language, History, and Culture.
Our Content
We welcome everyone to enjoy the Makaʻiwa Keiki Youtube Channel and take advantage of the FREE PRINTABLES that accompany each video. Each video introduces basic ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi terms through catchy songs with simple pronunciation guides. Our Printables contain coloring and activity pages that continue and expand upon the lesson of the video.
Makaʻiwa Keiki features a colorful cast of characters set in a fictional version of Hawaiʻi we call Papa-Honua. Setting our characters in a unique world based on Hawaiian and Polynesian legend allows us to introduce characters from the rich folklore of Hawai'i. We believe Papa-Honua is the ideal setting to accompany our original music and songs - creating an engaging world for our viewers to experience.
